About my art
My work focuses on abstract painting and the exploration of form, color and movement. I work with layered brushstrokes, transparent areas and overlapping shapes that gradually build the composition. Rather than following a fixed plan, the paintings develop step by step through the process of painting itself.
Color and gesture play an important role in my work. Strong, sweeping brush movements meet quieter surfaces and more delicate layers of paint. Contrasts between transparency and density, light and darker areas, create tension and rhythm within the image.
The message
During the process I often paint over earlier marks, leaving traces that remain visible in the final work. This creates depth and a sense of movement, as different layers interact with each other. The paintings are meant to remain open and allow space for individual interpretation.
